About

“If You Qualify to Become a Client, Here’s What to Expect…”

I provide legal services for businesses that include entity formation (limited liability companies, corporations, partnerships, etc.), intellectual property protection (trademarks, service marks, copyrights, and anti-piracy), negotiation and preparation of contracts, independent contractor and employment agreements, and the purchase and sale of businesses.

Not just a business lawyer, I’ve owned multiple brick-and-mortar and Internet companies over the years. Because of this, I understand business law both as a lawyer and from an owner’s perspective.

My goal is to keep you out of court and the government happy with the way you do business. If you want a lawsuit, I’ll refer you to skilled trial lawyers who can handle it for you.

Benefits of using my services include having an experienced lawyer who knows business and Internet law represent your interests, someone who is always looking for ways to protect and grow your business. You will be treated as an individual who has unique business goals and objectives.

1. Representation.

  • You will be professionally represented in your business legal matters in a prompt and courteous matter.
  • In most instances, you and I will communicate by telephone and email.
  • You will also receive a monthly complimentary status report on your outstanding legal issues.
  • If I am busy with another client when you contact me, you may get a response from my personal assistant.
  • Regardless, you will receive prompt personal attention designed to deliver results while saving you time in the process.

2. Payment.

  • Where the scope of work cannot be clearly defined, you will be billed at the standard hourly rate in 1/10th hour increments for professional services rendered.
  • In some instances, you may be charged a flat fee, for instance, when a contract is drafted for you and it does not involve negotiations or numerous revisions.
  • Flat fee work is payable in advance before the work commences. Where work is billed by the hour, a deposit may be required to cover initial legal services and expenses. Select clients are eligible for retainer arrangements.
  • Regardless, invoices must be paid within 14 days of receipt.

3. 100% Iron-Clad Money-Back Guarantee.

  • Sometimes you need a contract or other legal document drafted by a certain date. If I agree to draft that document and give you a deadline by which you will receive it, that’s a firm promise and commitment.
  • If for some reason I don’t meet the deadline, you will receive a 100% refund of your money paid for the document…that’s a full refund. No strings attached.

4. Business Hours.

  • Business hours are Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST/CDT.
  • Please remember this before attempting to contact me outside of normal business hours or trying to obtain preferential service at the expense of other clients.
  • I will respect your time and ask that you do the same.

5. Win-Win Relationship.

  • Where possible, you will be given a quote in advance for legal services to be rendered. If it is not possible to quote a flat fee because of the nature of the work, you will be charged for professional services at the same rate as other clients, neither receiving an unfair advantage nor being placed at a disadvantage.
  • You will receive the best legal representation that I can provide. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, you will let me know so that I can try to make things right. If necessary, I will refer you to another attorney in the hope that you will obtain the satisfaction that you deserve.
  • You will receive timely service. Preferences are only given to true emergencies and those clients who pay monthly retainers for priority access.
  • You will promptly pay for legal services.
  • If you are satisfied with how you have been treated, you will refer at least three business owners like yourself to become clients.
